We loved the stunning sea view and the lovely indoor swimming pool. The hotel's location was also great, very close to the beach and some local shops. The room was cozy and offered a nice selection of amenities. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making our stay more comfortable.
Some areas of the hotel were not well-maintained and in need of an upgrade. The cleanliness of some public areas left something to be desired.

This hotel is really nice, beautiful and all the rooms are decorated in traditional japanese style. The rooms exists actually of several rooms for private usage. We had our own personal onsen overlooking the ocean which was really nice. They support you with everything you need and the staff is really great. There is a shuttle bus going to Shimoda station from the hotel and back. Considering that Shimoda is a small place to see, its really nice spending time in the room and in the onsen. Close to the hotel is the seaside of Shimoda where its very nice to take a walk and go to the restaurants.
Using the laundry machines and dryers and having breakfast is expensive and you would expect it to be free considering the price you pay for a room. The swimming pool is small and can only be used if you have a headcap to wear (which you can buy in the hotel for 600 yen). The souvenirshop in the hotel is expensive.

This hotel is perfectly located in a place that offers amazing views of the ocean. It's just a stone’s throw away from the city, which makes it very convenient to get around. the staff is incredibly helpful and polite, providing fantastic service to their guests. the rooms are cozy, well-furnished and offer breathtaking views of the sea. the breakfast is sumptuous, with lots of variety and options to cater to the taste of different guests. Plus, the indoor garden and pool are among the many facilities that guests can enjoy.
The hotel is a bit dated, which might take away some of the charm.

Stunning views from the room and friendly staff who can speak some English. the private on-sen was relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. the location, although a bit far from the city, offers easy access to other locations around the area and a chance to have a quiet city break away from the busy city life.
The room was very dated, and the furnishings seemed quite old and rundown. Despite the hotel's best efforts, the cleanliness could be improved, and the bathroom facilities were particularly outdated.
